Have you ever got to a point where you know you should be positive but just can’t shake the funk you’re in?
You and I have both been there, the “WHY DO I EVEN BOTHER!” stage, you always try to avoid getting into that mindset but sometimes it just happens. Sometimes you just need to hit that big ol’ reset button and get back to smashing goals. Here is my essential guide for a positive mindset.
Take a Roll Call of your Life
The last year has come and gone so quickly! You may or may not have taken advantage of it but one thing we can all do is sit down and do a full review. You will see that there is always something, big or small, to be grateful for, and that gratitude does wonders for a positive mindset.
Even if it is as small as being grateful for the 30min in the morning before the house wakes up!
The next step is a little harder but it can be helpful to look at your goals and see if you’re on the right track and what needs changing! Be honest with yourself and change the things that aren’t working for you!
Be Unapologetically YOU
Be yourself, completely, unashamedly. You are not meant to be anyone other than the truest version of yourself. Learn more about yourself and focus on all the things that you love and that make you happy.
We are too often swayed by what others are doing, or what we are meant to be doing but this way of comparing ourselves to others is the quickest way to unhappiness.
Spend time with yourself and ask yourself why you are doing certain things and if they are helping you create more happiness in your life. We all need you to be the best version of YOU.
Surround yourself with Great People
Are you constantly surrounding yourself with people with a positive mindset? Do they want you to be happy? Find these people constantly, let yourself feel appreciated and loved.
Don’t shrug off their compliments, they want to be around you for a reason.
This will always leave you in a positive mood, ready to take on any challenge and on your way to becoming a healthier and more confident version of yourself.
Whole Foods, Whole You
You can really tell my mindset by what I am eating! If its comfort food my husband knows to be on his best behaviour! And to tell you the truth it just makes things worse. I feel worse because I’m not fuelling myself with the best wholefoods and then I eat more comfort food because I’m feeling bad! It’s a vicious cycle. Pause, breathe and cut back on the caffeine, refined sugar and salt. Start with small changes and slowly get yourself back on track!
Simple enough isn’t it? Regain control of your life, hit that giant reset button and do everything you set out to do.
